De familie van de in 2017 geliquideerde Kemal Zengin (44) uit Blerick heeft de beloning voor een gouden tip met 20.000 euro verhoogd naar 60.000 euro.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Ook heeft de familie uit frustratie over het onderzoek dat vrijwel stil ligt, priv\u00e9detective John Vullers<\/strong> uit Roermond in de arm genomen. Dat laat Engin Zengin, de broer van de doodgeschoten Kemal, weten.<\/p>\n

De familie Zengin verdubbelde eerder al de beloning van twintig mille die het Openbaar Ministerie heeft uitgeloofd voor diegene die met cruciale informatie komt. De professioneel uitgevoerde afrekening vond eind augustus 2017 plaats voor Zengins woning aan de Klingerbergsingel in Blerick. De auto waarmee de daders vluchtten, werd brandend achtergelaten in Amersfoort. Er zijn drie verdachten opgepakt vanwege hun rol bij de diefstal of de heling van de vluchtauto, maar tot een arrestatie van de mogelijke schutter en opdrachtgever is het nooit gekomen.<\/p>\n

Bronnen rond het onderzoek melden dat de moord mogelijk verband houdt met de onderschepping van een gigantische partij coca\u00efne van 1800 kilo in december 2016 in Medemblik. Zengin zou een rol hebben gespeeld bij de doorvoer vanuit de haven in Antwerpen die dus uiteindelijk mislukte. Mogelijk werd hij verantwoordelijk gesteld voor het verlies. Het Openbaar Ministerie Limburg zegt dat \u2018deze link is meegenomen in het onderzoek\u2019. \u201eMaar gedurende dit onderzoek is het verband vooralsnog niet bevestigd\u201d, laat persofficier Fanny Hilhorst weten. In het tv-programma Opsporing Verzocht <\/i>meldde de politie eerder dat Zengin vermoedelijk actief was in het criminele milieu.<\/p>\n

De drie mannen uit Rotterdam en Den Haag die begin dit jaar werden opgepakt in verband met de moordzaak zijn weer vrij. \u201eZe zijn nog wel verdachten en worden vervolgd voor heling van de auto die bij de liquidatie is gebruikt\u201d, zegt persofficier Hilhorst.<\/p>\n

De familie van Kemal Zengin is teleurgesteld over het onderzoek naar de moord. \u201eWe horen nauwelijks iets van politie en justitie en hebben het idee dat het onderzoek stilligt. Dat is erg frustrerend\u201d, zegt broer Engin (38). Hij zegt dat hij niet op de hoogte was van criminele activiteiten van zijn broer. \u201eKemal was erg gesloten. We wisten niet wat hij deed. Wij willen graag weten uit welke hoek de aanslag kwam. Voor ons is het onze geliefde vader en broer. We hebben recht op antwoorden.<\/p>\n
