Deze oldtimers werd gestolen in Amsterdam en zoals uit opgevraagde camerabeelden bleek, die nacht nog overgebracht naar de korte Papaverweg te Amsterdam-Noord alwaar de nodige garageboxen aanwezig waren. \u00a0Begin 2017 meldde zich een tweede benadeelde van een diefstal van zijn Jaguar E-type eveneens bouwjaar 1966 met kenteken DM-90-25 kleur groen. Gedurende het onderzoek werd een tip ontvangen welke aanleiding was een pseudokoop op te zetten naar de aankoop van een vermoedelijk \u201d foute\u201d \u00a0Ferrari 360 Modena F1 kleur rood. Het vermoeden bleek juist en als snel bleek dat het onderzoek op de goede weg was. Middels deze pseudokoop werd zicht gekregen op de daders\/helers en richtte het onderzoek daar ook op. Dit resulteerde 2e helft van 2017 dat we zicht kregen op een loods in Kootwijkerbroek. Onderzoek ter plaatse maakte duidelijk dat aldaar in een loods de nodige oldtimers verstopt stonden waaronder ook de groene Jaguar E-type DM-90-25. Helaas was de blauwe Jaguar er niet bij. In samenwerking met de politie werd ter plaatse een uitvoerig onderzoek ingesteld onder leiding van een officier van justitie. De informatie die hieruit naar voren kwam maakte dat er de dagen erna op nog enkele plaatsen doorzoekingen plaats vonden en meerdere auto\u2019s en een boot in beslag genomen konden
